Thomas G. Ryan, Lic. Ac., Dipl. Ac.
I graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture, in Watertown, MA., in 1995. I then continued my studies in the post-graduate Toyohari program for an additional year. After completion of this program, I became a teaching assistant and later an instructor for the Toyohari Association, teaching classes throughout the Eastern U.S. Also at this time, I became the president of the Connecticut/New York branch of the Toyohari Association. This offered me the opportunity to study with the great Japanese Masters. I also have advanced studies in Facial Rejuvenation, Laser Acupuncture, Pediatrics (non-insertive acupuncture methods), cupping, moxibustion, Scalp Acupuncture and Medical Qigong. I am also the past Vice-President of the Connecticut Society of Acupuncturists.
In addition to my private practice, I have provided acupuncture for a research study at Yale-New Haven Hospital, in conjunction with the Yale School of Nursing, and was on the adjunct staff at Hartford Hospital in 2001 and 2002.
I have particular interests in treating Multiple Sclerosis, Sports Injuries, Pediatrics, Oncology, and women’s issues, ranging from infertility to alleviation of menopausal symptoms - obstetric services have ranged from treatment of morning sickness to assisting in the turning of breech presentations.
